Overview

Reports to: Procurement Manager

 

FLSA Status: Full-Time, Salaried-Exempt

 

Normal Working Hours – Office Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday with occasional hours in evenings or on
weekends

 

Position Objective: As a Mechanic , this role focuses on the maintenance and repair of small equipment such as skid steers,
mini excavators, trucks, and trailers. The Mechanic will also assist with light hauling of equipment and materials, and serve
as a backup to the Procurement Manager when needed. This is a hands-on position that plays a critical role in keeping our
field operations running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Promoting and building the Joeris bold promise, mission, vision, and values to employees.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety
of equipment and fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and complete necessary repairs in the field or shop environment.
• Conduct pre-use inspections and identify potential issues before they affect productivity
• Maintain accurate paperwork and/or electronic documentation of work performed (i.e. work orders and service
logs) in a complete and timely manner.
• Coordinate and perform light hauling of tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites.
• Support the Procurement Manager with tasks such as equipment tracking, vendor coordination, and materials
ordering.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, service vehicle, tools, and yard.
• Other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record (CDL a plus)
• 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools, preferably in construction or similar heavy-use
industries.

• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Ability to operate and haul small construction equipment and trailers.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently when required.
• Comfortable using procurement software or willing to learn.
• High attention to detail; must possess the confidence that work product is accurate and complete.
