Reports to: Senior Superintendent or Senior Project Manager
• Daily jobsite activities for a single project
• Jobsite safety programs and reporting
• Scheduling and coordination of Subcontractors and material deliveries
• Ensuring employee safety and project housekeeping
• Reporting accidents of any type to the Safety Team in a timely manner
• Notifying the Senior Superintendent and Project Manager of labor and material needs
• Keeping daily time records and accurate cost centers for each employee
• Coding materials to proper cost centers
• Creating and maintaining daily job reports
• Reviewing shop drawings for contract conformance, field dimensions, etc.
• Maintaining jobsite “record set” drawings
• Taking and maintaining jobsite progress photographs
• Obtaining and tracking all necessary city inspections
• Obtaining and terminating all temporary utilities requests
• Attending all jobsite meetings
• Completing all punch list items
• Turning over keys and obtaining a written receipt from owner
• Performing weekly review of job costs
• Maintaining quality control
• Tool and equipment maintenance management
• Building client relations
• Mentoring and training Assistant Superintendents and Assistant Project Managers on their job duties
• Assisting the project team as required
• Completing training requirements as assigned and ensuring Project Team is actively participating in assigned training
• Manages all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) activities on construction projects. Their responsibilities include:
Project management
• Overseeing the day-to-day activities of the project, including the project team, site conditions, safety, and quality standards
• Managing subcontractors and trades, and coordinating with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders
• Ensuring that all MEP work is performed in compliance with project specifications, timelines, and safety regulations
• Conducting regular inspections and quality control checks on MEP installations
• Reviewing and interpreting MEP drawings and specifications, and reviewing construction documents for completeness and
• Developing and managing a project schedule, including three and six-week look-ahead schedules
• Conducting meetings with subcontractors to discuss project goals and deadlines
• Additional duties as required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have experience supervising numerous commercial projects
• 7 to 10+ years of relevant experience in commercial construction
• Must have experience with higher education, K-12, and healthcare projects
• Some college experience with drafting, surveying, Total Station, or CAD a plus
• Confine Space Awareness, Defensive Driving, First Aid/CPR/AED certifications preferred
• OSHA 30 certification
